A blessed Easter to all of you. I want to express my gratitude for your support of the Chapel Pharmacy. The Empowered Catholic Health Workers from the 10 (now 12) Indigenous Peoples communities of Malitbog, Bukidnon, gathered in Malitbog Poblacion for an Easter gathering and strategic meeting. We have addressed a significant need — Health Care — and the response from the community has been positive to be modest. We recognize that the underlying cause of many issues is poverty and, to some extent, a hesitancy to seek medical advice. I reminded them that this program is a means to an end, which is evangelization. Gradually, these ECHW who active in their respective Catholic chapels also serve as catechists.
The El Niño phenomenon is severely affecting those in poverty. In Bayawa, where we run a feeding program, they held a feeding session on Good Friday, indicating that they are hungry. Our assistance is offered without fostering a messianic complex, hoping that through our good works, they will experience God’s love. Thank you for your support and please extend this to our benefactors. Happy Easter!
