The Philippine Jesuit Foundation (PJF) is the official fundraising organization of the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus in the United States. The mission of PJF is to support the educational, religious, apostolic and caritative activities of the Jesuits in the Philippines.
PJF was founded on March 28, 2003 in New York, NY and is a duly registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. All donations made to PJF are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
According to CharityNavigator.org, non-profit organizations typically spend 75% of their budget on programs, while 15% goes to administration and 10% goes to fundraising. With this benchmark in mind, PJF’s performance is exceptional, as 93% of all the money we raise go directly to our beneficiaries and programs. We are able to keep our total expenses at 7% because we are able to employ pro-bono administration work and do our back office functions in the Philippines.
The 7% service fee that PJF charges is sole source of funding all our operational expenses, enabling us to continue our important work of fundraising for all the Jesuit missions in the Philippines, and we exist only for that purpose. We will not be able to do our work without this fee.
Currently, PJF has a perfect rating of 100 out of 100 (Give with Confidence) in the Encompass Rating System of CharityNavigator.org. The perfect score is a testament to PJF’s strong financial health, ongoing accountability and transparency. This score designates PJF as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating that our organization is using its donations effectively based on Charity Navigator’s criteria. Charity Navigator is America’s largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator.
